| Mary Jane Fox has been
shearing alpacas for 8 years at some of Northeast Ohios
finest Huacaya and Suri farms, providing the service of shearing
award winning show fleeces and many champion animals. In her time in
the industry, she has seen the need for more individuals to learn how to
shear easily and safely. The primary focus of her seminars and her book is
to teach you to shear your animals in a low-stress manner, to harvest a
product that is suitable for the fleece show, the hand spinner, or the
processing mill, and to give your animal that sleek finished look.
With the help of local farms, her business has grown from the daily "chore doer" to one of the best shearers in the country, an author, and also a shearing equipment distributor. She is currently working on the manufacture of a portable lightweight shearing table. Mary Jane is an excellent teacher/author, and you will find her seminars or books an invaluable aid in shearing your own alpacas. |
